MiddBlog’s 3rd Annual Pledge Drive Extravaganza!

Ryan: Ryan and Sarah, here, coming to you live from the terrific studios of M-I-D-D-B-L-O-G. We want to welcome you to MiddBlog’s 3rd Annual Pledge Drive Extravaganza!* You know we only come to you a few times a year and ask for your help. More than 6 wonderful volunteers devote their time and energy to helping us run this blog, but sometimes we need more than time and energy.

Sarah: We need money.

Ryan: If you love the programming that MiddBlog has to offer, whether it’s Emily’s coverage of the Democratic National Convention (liberal media? no way!), Hiba’s motherly advice, Lilli’s theater reviews that make you want to un—- the world, Matt’s Facebook Sociology, my mild obsession with our college administrators, and much, much more, then won’t you please consider becoming a member of MiddBlog and making a pledge?

Sarah: It takes a lot of money to run a blog. Here’s where you come in. This year, MiddBlog has set its capital campaign–minus the capital–goal at $8.95. I know, I know, this goal may seem insurmountable, but we here at MiddBlog must achieve this goal in order to continue bringing you, the reader, our fun and festive programming. And we only have 30 days! Fortunately, during the silent phase of our pledge drive, we raised $1.00!

Ryan: Would you please help us? Would you please become a member of MiddBlog? You call it membership, I call it family. It is like a family here. A very, very dysfunctional family. We have the hugs, and the high-fives, and the slaps across the face, and then we get down to business.**

Sarah: To become a MiddBlog member, you can pledge as low as 25 cents. An anonymous benefactress has agreed to match your donation 2-to-1. Is that 200%? Is that 300%? I don’t know; I suffered and cried my way through Calculus. But what I do know is that MiddBlog cannot continue to bring you its programming unless you become a member and make a pledge!

Ryan: As a special incentive, the person who pledges the highest amount of money will earn the naming rights of MiddBlog for one week! That’s right, folks, you can call MiddBlog whatever you want for one WHOLE week. Just send pledges to: Ryan K., MC Box 3137. Send them in $0.25 coins.
