Watson Goes Ivy
As Tim Spears kindly writes in: Emma Watson has been visiting the Ivies down South (as in South of the Vermont border). The Yale Daily News reports that, “Watson stopped in New Haven to take a private tour of Yale’s campus and talk to students about their experiences at the University. During her brief visit, Watson generated considerable attention on a campus known for its resemblance to — and obsession with — Hogwarts.” OK, they have an obsession? We have Quidditch. Then again, Middlebury was not her East Coast tour…unless Shawn Rae in the Admissions Office is hiding something from MiddBlog.

I’m sure Emma wants to get as far away from everything HP related as possible. So all these articles attempting to tie her college of choice to Hogwarts/Quidditch are just way off base. She probably wants to be seen as a person, rather than a fictional character.
I’m sure, if anything, Quidditch would drive her away from Middlebury. I’d also bet she’d want to go to a (slightly) better school (I know we’re great, the rest of the world… not so much), and one that’s nearer a city. (Unfortuante) end of story.
Good for her. At least there’s one female celebrity who’s more concerned with her brain than spreading her legs for cameras.
The “Emma Watson Visits/Visited Middlebury” Rumor has been around for at least four years, long before Miss Watson was even of U.S. college-going age. Nothing to hide from MiddBlog: we have no official record of her visiting our admissions office.
No “Official” record. But that does not mean that she was not there.
