Vermont Dining

Our humble state of Vermont got another write-up in the New York Times (after Starksboro story), this time on Backwoods Dining. So, if you ever get tired of Two Brothers or want to venture beyond, far beyond, the relatively close Cafe Provence (Brandon), Black Sheep Bistro (Vergennes), and Starry Night Cafe (Ferrisburg), here are some classy Vermont restaurants to take your friends (because, according to Midd Confessional, who takes people on dates these days?).

  1. Some honorable mentions from personal experience include Johnny Seesaws in the Manchester area and Table 21 in Rutland.

  2. The Alchemist is definitely excellent – great beer & burgers!

  3. What about the Bearded Frog in Shelburne?! It might be one of the top restaurants I’ve ever dined at.

  4. Can’t forget the Skinny Pancake in Burlington!
