Sunday Reading: Post-Carnival
While Monday and piles of work are looming over us after an intense Winter Carnival weekend, here are some links to keep your Sunday calm:
- THE OSCARS: The Oscars, hosted by Hugh Jackman, are tonight at 8. While the producers are promising program changes, the infamous political pollster Nate Silver has already predicted the outcomes.
- GRADES: The NY Times published an article about students’ sense of entitlement and grade disputes, setting off a heated debate.
- STEREOTYPES: The Pew Research Center relased a survey of America, explaining who likes Starbucks and who prefers McDonalds. (Spoiler alert: no surprises here.)
- CLINTON: Hillary Clinton went on Indonesia’s version of the late TRL the other day but refused to sing.
- LATE NIGHT TV: Conan O’Brien left late night TV on Friday with a bang. Jimmy Fallon will replace him in March. He is now twittering here.
- CANCER: Apparently social networks are making us anti-social and giving us cancer.
- CARTOONS: The NY Post may have published a racist cartoon.
- PEPSI: Pepsi will soon be using real sugar!
- FASHION WEEK: My study break of choice this week has been to watch the various shows of New York Fashion Week.

It was the New York Post that published the cartoon in question.
