Intramural sports to start next Monday
Coach Bob Smith e-mailed students today with information concerning intramural activity sign-ups. Team activities for the fall session include touch football, men’s soccer, coed soccer, and wiffleball. In addition, students looking to play badminton, volleyball, and tennis can sign up as individuals. Participation times vary, but team activities (with the possible exception of wiffleball) are set to meet two times a week for an hour. To my recollection, wiffleball is a new addition to the traditional choices.
I highly recommend that you participate in at least one intramural sport. Seriously. It’s a blast, and you won’t regret it. Don’t think that you have too much homework-you probably do, but then again, physical exercise will go a long way in helping you academically. Exercise releases endorphins, which not only improve your mood, but also sharpen learning and memory.
I hope you brought your wiffleball bat- I did. See you on the field!
