Mark LaVoie, Middlebury’s Resident Harmonicist

Last night resident Harmonica Player/Affiliate Artist (is that a title?) Mark LaVoie performed at Mahaney Concert Hall in CFA. As a novice to the world of blues harmonica I was quite impressed. Although I must say, his stomping and soulful crooning could have sounded far sweeter in an intimate location like the Gamut Room or 51 Main (where he does perform quite often). In tribute to that too-often underappreciated reed instrument, here are some clips of the harmonica.
