Quidditch World Cup – Oct 25th
This is the post you’ve been waiting for. The Quidditch World Cup 2009 is just over one short week away and the event is looking to be the largest ever. It’s October 25th, 2009 at Middlebury’s Battell Beach. An exhibition game between Middlebury and UVM is this weekend.
The 20-some-odd teams: Miami of Ohio, Sacred Heart, Yale, Harvard, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Umass Amherst, Lafayette, St. Lawrence, Villanova University, Virginia Commonwealth University, Louisiana State University, Pittsburgh, Syracuse University, Moravian College, Emerson, McGill, Vassar, Chestnut Hill, Ive’s Pond, Boston University, Green Mountain College, University of Vermont, and your very own Middlebury.
Okay, this pulsating College Quidditch icon is driving me up the wall. You can find the details of the Cup and more College Quiddich action at the CollegeQuidditch.com website (which seems to be intermittently available over the past few weeks). Or twitter that shiz.
