As The Campus explained earlier this year, Middlebury is one of 28 schools selected by the German government to host a week’s worth of activities commemorating the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989. The event, “Freedom without Walls”, is free and open to the public and will highlight issues of ranging from geography to identity and diversity in Germany in the last 20 years.
